Growing home-based medical practice searching for professional, self-motivated paramedic to help decrease unnecessary hospital readmissions.
At Amerimed Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH), we believe that the future of healthcare is in the home. Amerimed MIH is dedicated to bringing wellness home by providing compassionate primary medical care in the privacy, comfort, and safety of patients’ homes.
In our newest market launch, the paramedic will work in a dual role function by interacting with health care facility discharge planning teams and patients to enroll new patient referrals and will also perform in-home patient visits while connecting virtually with an advanced practice provider (APP). Service area is throughout the greater Augusta GA area. Full Time Schedule - 8-hour days M-F
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Performing patient assessments provide interventions as appropriate
· Documenting patient care encounters
· Performing lab tests, blood draws, minor wound care, and other procedures.
· Perform home visits to assist patient in connecting to a Provider via telehealth
· Perform in-home safety assessments
· Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.,
· Be able to drive/ride in a company owned car for long distances, and physically meet the demands of the job.
· May require some office/administration duties as well. EMR experience a plus.
· Coordination with care team members at partner health systems within specific markets
· Educate patients and family regarding Amerimed Mobile Integrated Healthcare services.
Requirements:
1. Must be compassionate, empathetic, and place patients at the center of care
2. Current CPR card
3. Current Driver’s License
4. Clean Driving Record
5. Paramedic Certification (GA Required. Dual certified in GA and SC preferred). Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred.
6. Must be 21 years of age
7. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
8. Valid Driver's License clean driving record
9. Must pass a drug screen and background check
10. Willing to travel within specific geographic markets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay will be based upon experience.
