This role is located at our Tampa Headquarters or Raleigh, North Carolina, and requires full-time onsite engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY :
As a pivotal member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will serve as a Network Security Administrator II, specializing in firewall management. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of essential tasks such as daily administration, advanced support for systems and applications, and acting as the primary liaison for vendor support. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience with firewall technologies, particularly Palo Alto and Fortinet FortiGate, and will thrive in a fast-paced services environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor and manage daily firewall rule deployments and handle hardware / software refresh activities.
- Analyze and recommend firewall solutions to enhance business operations.
- Identify trends and emerging issues for better decision-making.
- Conduct independent analysis to resolve issues regarding firewall policies and upgrades.
- Participate actively in the customer onboarding process for security controls.
- Track performance and address any firewall-related issues.
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end technology support including root-cause analysis.
- Engage in new technology releases relevant to firewall management.
- Serve as a technical expert in meetings with internal teams and customers.
- Analyze and implement changes to perimeter security as required.
- Work closely with customer IT and security teams.
- Collaborate with vendors for security solutions and internal departments.
- Maintain security solution health and performance.
- Apply security patches and ensure measures are in place for optimal defenses.
- Optimize customer network and security postures.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments.
- Generate operational alerts for performance monitoring.
- Create monthly security reports and maintain monitoring dashboards.
- Participate in business continuity planning and testing.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managed systems.
- Be part of an on-call rotation for urgent support needs.
- Perform additional duties as required.
