What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Hire Ventures, Inc.?
Our client is looking for an on-site Warehouse Lead in a Production environment to join our team.
- Directly supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and address any issues that arise.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing support and development.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records and timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
- Ensure efficient workflows and optimize space utilization.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, coordinating with suppliers and customers.
Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and other departments.
- Prepare reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in problem-solving and identifying areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of proven experience in warehouse operations, managing 1000 SKUs in inventory, shipping and receiving
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and practices, inventory management.
- Location & Hours: 30324, 7:00- 3:00
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Systems: Excel: pivot tables, navigating large data sets, ERP systems, Salesforce.
- Technical Skills: Strong background with ERP systems
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items, and operate warehouse equipment.
