Position: Cloud Solutions Architect 3 (Remote)
Location: Austin, TX
Contract Duration: 9 Months (with potential 3-year extension)
Job Description:
The Cloud Solutions Architect will leverage their expertise in cloud services, particularly AWS, to design and implement scalable, robust systems. This role requires strong collaboration across technical and non-technical teams and adherence to architectural best practices and security standards.
Required Skills:
- 12 years of experience with operating systems, including Red Hat Linux and Windows.
- 10 years designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- 10 years providing architectural guidance and oversight throughout project lifecycles.
- 10 years collaborating across teams to develop and implement cloud solutions.
- 10 years selecting appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, and security requirements.
- 10 years of hands-on experience designing distributed systems and applications on AWS.
- 8 years gathering requirements to define and operate solutions on cloud infrastructure.
- 8 years assessing and recommending modifications to existing infrastructure.
- 8 years educating on architectural principles and best practices at various technical levels.
- 8 years ensuring alignment with TIERS security standards.
- 8 years leading technical and design discussions for the adoption of new technologies.
- 8 years of working knowledge of AWS storage and backup solutions.
- 8 years of experience with ITIL and ticketing systems like Remedy and ServiceNow.
- 8 years of experience managing Archer GRC.
Preferred Skills:
- 8 years of comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols, including IP addressing, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- 5 years of experience with database systems, such as Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres.
- 5 years of knowledge in identity and access management and cybersecurity principles.
- 5 years staying current with cloud computing developments to improve cloud infrastructure.
- Certification: AWS Solutions Architect Certification preferred.
