AEROSPACE PRODUCTION OPERATING MANAGER - $100k - $120K
Job Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established specialty coatings provider in New Haven County, renowned for quality, expertise, and efficient service delivery. This role involves managing a key department within surface treatment operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality services to customers. The Production Operating Manager will lead cross-functional teams, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and align operations with strategic goals to exceed customer expectations. You will be working on the production line alongside your team. Prior machine operator experience is required, not just experience managing operators . Comprehensive onboarding and hands-on training will prepare you to lead effectively and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team from the shop floor, not the desk
- Be a lean manufacturing guru: Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Oversee tooling and fixuring to maintain quality and process readiness.
- Learn, monitor, and improve process flows
- Ensure proper departmental ERP system usage
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing machine operator experience (REQUIRED)
- CURRENT aerospace experience (Required) .
- Extensive experience in manufacturing operations
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Spanish language skills (not required)

Compensation:
- $100k - $120k DOE
- Additional bonuses based on performance goals
