Job Overview:
HireBridge Recruiting is seeking a results-driven Buyer on behalf of our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in high-strength fasteners. This role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials essential for production while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely availability.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Source and evaluate suppliers for aerospace fasteners and related materials.
✅ Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchase agreements to optimize costs.
✅ Maintain inventory levels to support uninterrupted production schedules.
✅ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet material requirements.
✅ Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance.
✅ Analyze market trends and pricing for strategic purchasing decisions.
✅ Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement process improvements.
✅ Maintain detailed records of purchases, pricing, and supplier data.
Qualifications:
✔️ Experience in purchasing or procurement within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
✔️ Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
✔️ Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite .
✔️ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
➤ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
➤ Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100) .
➤ Familiarity with fastener specifications and manufacturing processes .
➤ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
