CNC Machinist – Tool & Die (Aerospace Fasteners)
$24/hr. - $28/hr. OT

About the Role
We’re seeking a CNC Machinist with strong Tool & Die experience to support the production of precision aerospace fasteners and components. In this role, you won’t just hit cycle start—you’ll apply your understanding of tooling setup, part fixturing, and wear management to help keep machines running tight and efficiently.
This position is ideal for a machinist who thrives in high-tolerance environments, understands the importance of die integrity in part quality, and takes ownership of both machine and tooling performance.
Key Responsibilities
Machining & Tooling

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision aerospace fasteners.

Install, align, and validate tooling and fixtures for repeatable, high-accuracy machining.

Monitor tool wear and replace or adjust cutting tools as needed to maintain part specs.

Perform minor tool modifications or maintenance to improve production stability.
Blueprint Interpretation & Inspection

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and aerospace specs.

Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) for in-process and final inspections.

Document measurements, machine adjustments, and tooling changes per AS9100 standards.
Shop Support

Assist with continuous improvement of setups, fixtures, and tooling usage.

Conduct basic preventive maintenance on machines and tooling components.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and toolroom staff to resolve part or tooling issues.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.

3 years of CNC machining experience, with hands-on exposure to tool & die work (repair, setup, fixture work, etc.).

Strong understanding of machining principles, tool life, and material behavior.

Comfortable with blueprint reading, GD&T, and aerospace part tolerances.

Skilled in using precision inspection tools and interpreting inspection plans.
Preferred Skills

Background in aerospace, defense, or high-spec manufacturing.

Familiarity with multi-axis machining or Swiss-type lathes.

Experience working in an AS9100-certified facility.

Spanish language skills a plus.
Additional Requirements

U.S. citizenship or proper work authorization may be required due to federal contract work.
