Job Description :
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry quality standards in the manufacturing of aerospace fasteners . This role involves visual and dimensional inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to maintain product integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished fasteners for defects, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications .
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation , including non-conformance reports (NCRs) .
- Identify and report non-conforming materials and processes .
- Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and assist in corrective actions .
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations .
- High school diploma or equivalent ; technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
- Experience in quality control inspection , preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry .
- Familiarity with industry fastener specifications and standards .
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments .
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects .
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills .
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100 ).
- Familiarity with fastener design and material specifications .
- Understanding of material testing methods .
- Experience with CMM or other advanced inspection equipment .
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills .
- Due to the nature of regulated manufacturing projects , compliance with specific citizenship or work authorization requirements may be necessary.
