Position Overview:
We are seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Trainer to join a leading training and workforce development team focused on accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies within the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality training—through classroom, virtual, and hands-on formats—to support the upskilling of the current manufacturing workforce. The trainer will work closely with internal experts, external partners, and leadership to shape and deliver impactful training curriculum.
This position will be based onsite at a dedicated regional Talent and Training Accelerator facility, with occasional travel to partner offices and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging training and assessments on advanced manufacturing techniques and systems.
Conduct formal classroom instruction on topics such as programming, operating, and maintaining automated production systems.
Develop and refine curriculum, including lesson plans and instructor guides for in-person and virtual courses.
Perform gap analyses and recommend updates to course content.
Collaborate with technical staff and leadership to align training programs with strategic goals.
Maintain safe training environments and contribute to safety procedure development.
Exercise & Curriculum Development:
Create hands-on activities and demonstrations for advanced manufacturing workflows.
Develop model-based 3D CAD content with embedded Product Manufacturing Information (PMI).
Integrate model-based approaches to generate machining or additive manufacturing toolpaths.
Design model-driven quality inspection activities using CMMs, 3D scanning, etc.
Support PLM and MES integration using Model-based Enterprise (MBE) principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical field (equivalent experience accepted).
At least 4 years of experience in design, manufacturing, or inspection/quality assurance roles.
Familiarity with Siemens NX, PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter), and CAD file formats (e.g., STEP, QIF).
Minimum of 2 years teaching/training in a technical or manufacturing setting.
Experience developing and delivering technical training for college-level or professional learners.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on innovation.
Additional Requirements:
Onsite availability Monday–Friday, with occasional early mornings or evenings.
Ability to travel to office and manufacturing environments as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and navigate stairs (reasonable accommodations available).
Must meet ITAR requirements for employment.
