About the Position:
This position will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to calibrate, troubleshoot, and resolve electronic product issues at the PCB board AND component level. This role will also perform mechanical, optical, and electrical inspections on incoming instruments, parts, and components to ensure quality. In addition, this role will build test fixtures and assemblies to troubleshoot complex systematic failures to provide feedback to management and vendors.

- Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Compensation: $65K – $70K, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate incoming electro-mechanical components, materials, or assemblies by utilizing appropriate test procedures, test equipment, and processes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot systemic failure and design issues, resolving problems using root cause analysis, documenting corrective actions, and reporting concerns with systems, processes, equipment, and materials.
- Build/Set up test equipment, download software, carry out reliability and performance tests, and adjust required to meet organizational standards; Verify data for the intended use and verify data accuracy.
- Rework or repair non-conforming material.
- Support the transition of new products and department improvements to improve production time and vendor quality.
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve instrument performance based on gap analysis.
- Support Manufacturing Technicians with testing and calibration and assist with Associate training.
- Interpret CAD, wiring, and schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electro-mechanical units, applying knowledge of electronic and mechanical theory.
- Prepare, maintain, and document accurate, error-free methods of recording process steps, test data, and serial numbers to capture objective evidence with adherence to SOPs.
- Support the Quality Assurance (QA) and management on continuous improvement projects.
- Work in partnership with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to identify quality issues, recommend changes and support the implementation of new solutions.
- Support safety regulations as designated by the Quality System; Perform Job Safety Analysis.
- Ensure work areas are neat, organized, and clean, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- AA Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, with 2 years of experience in Electronics Troubleshooting and Testing, OR 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Printed Circuit Board (PCBA), component, AND board level experience is required.
- Strong experience in Electronics Assembly, AC/DC Circuitry, and Electronics Component Inspection is required.
- Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing (SSGB Certification), and CAD experience.
