Are you ready to build your career by joining a global chemical company? If so, our client is hiring a Formulation Lab Technician - Personal Care!
What You'll Do:
- Formulation of all types of Hair, Skin & Sun Care products including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, beach products, sticks, sprays and balms.
- Understanding of emulsion, polymers and surfactant technology, and general cosmetic technology as well as formulation techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Specifically pH meter, Brookfield Viscometer, stand mixers, and Silverson homogenizers
- Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility.
- Maintain, organize and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering or related field with 0-1 years of formulation experience. Or be currently enrolled in a matriculated program geared towards a 4-year science degree.
- Able to follow a set formula and procedure provided by senior chemists to create finished formulations.
- Must have good problem solving, decision making, and organization skills
- Ability to:
- Work well in a team environment
- Maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document
- Lift 50 lbs, and work at bench for 8 hours per day.
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
