Are you ready to build your career by joining a healthcare provider? If so, our client is hiring a Health Information Management Specialist (Days)!
What You'll Do:
- Creates ROI Releases including entering, reviewing, and verifying the information from the Patient Authorization to Disclose, Release and/or Obtain Protected Health Information form is completed before creating the ROI Release in Epic in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with time category and release type, and ensuring standardized naming conventions related to releases.
- Responsible for utilizing appropriate tools and resources to assist in the categorizing and prioritizing release types.
- Prioritizing work in accordance with departmental standards and daily work assignment; utilizing technology to complete job responsibilities and keeps expertise in technology.
- Ensures all work product is accurate and audited and meets departmental productivity and quality expectations.
- Handles a high volume of incoming ROI Releases and assesses the validity and completeness of release of information authorizations.
- Keeps up with emails daily.
- Participates in and completes office meetings and training sessions as assigned to continually improve skills and stays current with changes in operations.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- At least 1 year of Medical Records HIM experience is required.
- Knowledge of MS office like, outlook, Excel, word, etc.
- Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
- Shift: Days, 40 hours per week.
