Required:

• High school diploma. Preferred Associate’s/Technical degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience working in the field and greenhouse is desired.
• Self-sufficient in conducting assigned activities.
• Skilled on Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel domestically.
• Time-management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn technical skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated with problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in agriculture and crop management is highly desired.
• Ability to work standing up or sitting for several hours during the day.
• Ability to work under different environmental conditions.
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Research Technician supports operations in the Soybean Breeding program in collaboration with local breeding and agronomy teams.
• Performs activities in the greenhouse and field environments including crossing blocks, planting, harvesting, seed processing, and maintenance of seed inventories.
• Collects data at nurseries and field trials.
• Performs activities in the laboratory including collecting leaf samples, manipulation of plant tissues, and setting up experiments according to established protocols.
• Maintains the work environment organized and cleaned.
• Complies with Safety, QMS and Stewardship directives, and quality standards.
