Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing damaged vehicles to meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about delivering quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all phases of auto body repair, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle components.
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, frames, and structural components using proper techniques and tools.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, or priming as required.
- Apply paint and finishing coats using spray guns or other techniques to match the original vehicle color and texture.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards set by the industry and company.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs related to collision damage, such as fixing alignments, door mechanisms, and headlights.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues as needed.
- Maintain and operate tools, equipment, and spray booths safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members, estimators, and service advisors to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician, with a focus on collision repair.
- Proficiency in body repair techniques, such as panel replacement, frame straightening, and refinishing.
- Familiarity with paint-matching techniques and application methods.
- Ability to use industry-standard tools and equipment, including spray guns, sanding blocks, and frame machines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to follow repair procedures.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy parts and work in various positions throughout the day.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or I-CAR training.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle technology and materials, including aluminum and composite repairs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
