Responsibilities
Engage in projects involving new construction and refit designs for various types of vessels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans. Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for both newbuild and refit projects. Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Coordinate with clients, technical vendors, and internal stakeholders to meet project objectives. Handle class and regulatory submissions, reviews, and approvals as required.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in the maritime industry, preferably in shipbuilding project management or similar roles. Familiarity with machinery and systems aboard commercial ships, workboats, tug/barges, passenger vessels, and yachts. Experience with shipyard newbuild or repair engineering and construction. Knowledge of marine structural engineering and class approval processes.
