Position Summary The ideal candidate will have expertise in researching, drafting pleadings, negotiating, and litigating cases related to Housing/Landlord-Tenant law, Family Law, Public Benefits, and Veteran Benefits. While experience with veterans' issues is preferred, it is not required. This role requires excellent oral and written advocacy skills, alongside a strong commitment to providing aggressive representation in court for indigent and veteran clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform legal assessments and intakes.
- Represent clients in court and manage cases effectively.
- Mentor pro bono attorneys and offer counsel on family law and veteran matters.
- Provide education to private and public entities on military/veteran issues and laws.
Qualifications
- Active Florida State Bar membership (required).
- Prior experience serving low-income, veterans, or marginalized communities is preferred but not mandatory.
