We are recruiting Senior Manager Level Auditors on behalf of our client, one of The Big Four accountancy firms, in a hybrid capacity 2 days p / w onsite in Tysons Corner or Arlington, VA.
Active Secret Security Clearance is essential.
This role is part of an ongoing fixed-term contract supporting the US Army on Internal Auditing projects.
This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong military (preferably US Army) finance and audit background.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review general ledger (G / L) entries within Army's ERP systems (i.e., GFEBS) for compliance with authoritative federal financial account guidance and to determine if they result in potential misstatements to the Army General Fund financial statements. Deliverables to the client include the following : federal accounting analysis conducted over postings within Army's ERP systems, development of remediation actions / system change requests (SCRs) related to findings within our analysis and providing posting logic related feedback to other project teams for items such as Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) and Provided by Client (PBC) requests.
- Assist with efforts to develop and maintain risk assessment over revenue accruals. This includes performing analyses over data within Army's ERP / feeder systems to develop and maintain risk assessment to ensure that if the revenue accrual activities are over materiality threshold, the accrual should be recorded on a quarterly basis to ensure proper reporting.
- Determine the compliance of existing accounting processes, through the testing of the system posting logic, with authoritative federal financial accounting regulations (i.e., FASAB, USSGL, GAAP, etc.).
