An environmental sciences company located in the Boston area is looking to hire an Accounting Manager as an expansion of staff. The company is going through a robust acquisition phase where their revenue growth has exploded over the past few years. This person will be hands on with the acquisition work and every other phase of accounting while reporting into the Controller directly. Public accounting experience is a must for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Support and own the month-end losing processes for various entities
- Monitor inventory accounting while updating financial reports
- Review all entries posted to the GL as well as account reconciliations
- Prepare variance analysis
Requirements:
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least one year of public accounting experience
- Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field
- Manufacturing/inventory experience is a big plus
- Strong Excel skills
