Operational Excellence Manager
We are seeking a Manager of Operational Excellence (OpEx) to join our Wilmington, MA team. This individual will lead and manage OpEx efforts, driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing quality, and optimizing processes to deliver exceptional results. This role requires a strong leader who can implement best practices, mentor teams, and promote a culture of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the company’s Operational Excellence and Quality Programs, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards such as ISO, BRC, and GMPs.
- Drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, KAIZEN, and Continuous Improvement practices to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and minimize waste.
- Lead teams through data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making to enhance business performance and achieve operational goals.
- Conduct Gemba Walks, RCCM sessions, and PD meetings to track progress and maintain momentum in continuous improvement efforts.
- Actively participate in both production and transactional processes, collaborating with business leaders to support and advance OpEx initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate Kaizen events, ensuring proper execution and the lasting impact of improvements.
- Monitor organizational readiness for change and apply change management techniques to ensure smooth transitions and the successful adoption of best practices.
- Use data-driven insights, along with statistical tools such as Minitab, Excel, and DPMO/Sigma levels, to assess and enhance operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, audits, and documentation requirements, and maintain control measures for continuous improvement.

- Expertise in Operational Excellence practices, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Quality Management Systems.

- A proactive, results-oriented approach with a deep focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess and communicate quality performance data, both internally and externally.
- Experience with corrective action processes and managing NCR systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an Operational Excellence leadership role in a manufacturing environment (experience in the printing industry is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical tools (such as Minitab and Excel) for quality analysis and performance measurement.
