Regional Sales Representative
As the Regional Sales Representative, you will be the key point of contact between our customers, distributors and our business unit in San Antonio, helping to foster strong relationships, streamline sales processes, and drive performance. You will play an essential role in supporting the sales efforts, providing product and technical guidance, and contributing to the growth of Scania in the region.
Location: Midwest and Great Lakes Region
Reporting to: Sales & Marketing Director – San Antonio, Texas
Travel Requirement: High travel within the assigned region
- Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Account Management
- Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities through distributor networks.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations to customers.
- Strategic Growth & Market Analysis
- Implement sales strategies, training programs, and product knowledge initiatives to support distributor success.
- Collaborate with the San Antonio business unit to align on sales goals, product availability, and market strategies.
- Assist with sales forecasting, performance tracking, and market trend analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Conduct regular visits to distributors and OEMs to strengthen relationships and provide direct support.
- Gather customer insights and report findings to internal teams to refine sales strategies.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and networking.
- Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel within the region to meet distributors, attend industry events, and engage with key customers.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business Management, or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, ideally in the automotive, marine, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to market changes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
