Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Location: West Coast (Hybrid/Remote)

Industry: Specialty Dental Healthcare | Private Equity-Backed

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

We are partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-site specialty dental healthcare provider backed by a major Private Equity group. Headquartered on the West Coast, this organization is scaling quickly through both organic growth and acquisition, and is seeking a dynamic SVP of Human Resources to build and lead a high-impact HR function from the ground up.

This is a newly created role on the executive team, ideal for a strategic HR leader who is also hands-on, agile, and ready to shape culture, define structure, and deliver scalable people solutions in a complex, distributed, and high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-looking HR roadmap that aligns with the company’s aggressive growth strategy. Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, COO, and senior leadership team in all matters related to people, culture, and organizational development.
  • Culture & Change Management: Drive a unified culture across multiple locations, fostering values and behaviors that support the mission. Act as a change agent and culture champion across the organization.
  • M&A Integration: Lead the HR aspects of acquisition integration including org design, policy harmonization, talent planning, and change management to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Talent Strategy: Build and lead best-in-class talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies. Cultivate a high-performance, people-first culture that enables organizational scale.
  • People Operations: Oversee all HR disciplines—compensation, benefits, performance management, compliance, employee relations, and training. Ensure best practices are implemented consistently across all locations.
  • Field & Multi-State Support: Partner with clinic and field leadership to provide proactive HR solutions tailored to multi-state operations, particularly across CA, WA, AZ, ID, OR, and NV.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a geographically distributed HR team, fostering accountability, innovation, and business alignment at every level.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including prior experience as a VP or SVP in a high-growth, fast-paced setting.
  • Proven success in a Private Equity-backed or similarly dynamic, performance-driven organization.
  • Deep experience supporting a distributed, multi-site workforce—preferably in healthcare, dental, or a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale HR infrastructure and lead organizational transformation.
  • Significant experience managing HR functions across multiple states; strong familiarity with West Coast labor laws and compliance.
  • Strong M&A integration experience is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certifications are a plus.
