Vice President of Operations

About The Role
A private equity-backed, rapidly growing residential and commercial field services business is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Operations to join its leadership team. This newly created role will play a pivotal part in supporting the company’s continued expansion across the northeast. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence, the VP of Operations will be responsible for optimizing service delivery, cost management, and sales performance while driving scalability across a team of 200 employees. The role will report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all operational functions, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality of service to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Lead a team of directors (with plans for further expansion), fostering continuous improvement and helping achieve the company’s growth objectives.
- Establish and implement standardized processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and support rapid growth.
- Utilize key performance metrics, including cost per service, workforce productivity, and sales performance, to drive operational improvements.
- Work closely with the M&A team to facilitate smooth integration of newly acquired businesses, aligning them with organizational goals and standards.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture, encouraging professional development, accountability, and sustained excellence across operational teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in an operational leadership role within a high-growth, service-focused organization (such as pest control, security, landscaping, fire protection, etc.).
- A proven track record of building, structuring, and scaling operations in a rapidly expanding company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret data and implement strategic solutions.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and empowerment.
