Position: RN - Med Surg (Nights) Location: Mayfield, KY

Relocation Package: None Position Overview HireNow Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg (Night shift) role in Mayfield, KY. This opportunity allows nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Patient Care:Provide direct patient care to individuals using the nursing process, ensuring that care is delivered according to scope and standards of practice.
Perform interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as required.
Patient Monitoring & Documentation:Monitor patient conditions and document care given in accordance with protocols.
Communicate patient status to the healthcare team, physicians, patients, and families as needed.
Assisting with Daily Living Activities:Support patients with their activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation.
Collaborative Care & Coordination:Work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, including patient transfers, discharge, referrals, and addressing psychosocial needs.
Assist in managing patient and family education on health-related issues, customizing information to patient conditions and cultural considerations.
Advocacy & Well-Being:Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being, providing compassionate care and ensuring the highest quality of service.
Qualifications Minimum Education: Associates degree in Nursing (required)
Bachelors degree in Nursing (preferred)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 45 days of hire)
Licenses: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky or compact state (required)
New Graduates may work under a Kentucky provisional RN license for up to 6 months, with the expectation to obtain full RN licensure within the first 6 months of employment.
Required Skills: Ability to assess, plan, and implement patient care interventions.
