Job Title: Physical Therapist, Contract
Shift would be 730-530 M-TH, 730-11 Friday. Location: Humble, TX
Pay: $58/hr. Desired Start Date: 03/03/2025 Estimated End Date: 06/07/2025
o Pediatric experience of 2 years or more. Has to have experience working with neuro motor deficits of all abilities.
o Minimum 2 years' experience in neurodevelopmental pediatrics, experience with infants and babies with torticollis is preferred
Summary:
To plan, evaluate, organize and implement Physical Therapy (PT) treatment programs in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients ages 0 - adulthood.
Duties:
• Completes patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines.
• Develops an individualized plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings according to hospital and
departmental guidelines.
• In collaboration with patient and family, develop measurable long term and short-term goals.
• Performs patient care and related activities within the scope of their training and responsibilities. Demonstrates advanced
clinical competencies in an area of specialty.
• Manages schedule effectively to maintain productivity expectations per departmental guidelines.
• Participates in ongoing communication and collaboration with other members of the patient's interdisciplinary care team.
Coordinates treatment plan with all parties involved in the patient's care.
• Monitors patient response to treatment intervention.
• Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment.
• Designs and fabricates orthotic equipment/supplies and makes recommendations on customized adaptive equipment.
• Recommends termination of treatment when appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with Patient, Family, Team Leader, department staff, physicians and other health care
professionals to promote quality patient care.
• All tasks are characterized by the ability to automatically analyze the clinical situation and evaluate priorities, but relies
on conscious application of clinical "rules and principles". All tasks are focused and methodical.
• Coordinates treatment plan with all parties involved in the patient's care.
Skills:
• Knowledge and understanding of rehabilitative care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, and knowledge of development from the ages of neonate to adulthood.
• Successful demonstration of the professional competencies.
• Clinical advancement candidate must have been rated as “exceptional” or “consistently exceptional’ on the previous performance appraisal.
• Must also be articulate, courteous and supportive in dealing with hospital, administrative and departmental personnel,
patients and parents with ability to honor confidentiality; able to independently treat patients by developing and following
the established therapy plan of care; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; utilize basic office
equipment such as fax, copier and PC.

"Required- 2 years pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience OR
1 year pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine residency"
