Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Superintendent to oversee the successful on-site execution of construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will lead on-site activities, manage subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and maintain effective communication with the project team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent or similar role within the construction industry, preferably managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional certifications in safety, first aid, or quality management are desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead the on-site project team, define roles, foster accountability, and maintain a collaborative work environment. Support team development through mentorship and guidance.
- Project Execution & Scheduling: Oversee daily on-site activities, collaborate with the Project Manager to create and maintain schedules, and resolve operational challenges promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes. Manage punch lists to guarantee high-quality project delivery.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, lead safety meetings, and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.
- Communication: Serve as the primary on-site contact for subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress and risks.
- Resource Management: Manage site logistics, track labor and resource utilization, and verify the availability of materials and equipment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, review subcontractor timesheets, and assist in preparing required documentation.
