Carpenter

HireQuest Direct is seeking a Carpenter to join our team. If you’re passionate about building, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have a strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you! This position would be assisting the lead carpenter and acts as more of an assistant/helper. 

Note: This position will last for the duration of the project and is considered temporary. Once the job site ends, other work will be available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and Install commercial-grade wooden frameworks, structures, and systems, including walls, partitions, doors, windows, and staircases.
• Measure and Cut wood, metal studs, drywall, and other materials to the required dimensions using various hand and power tools.
• Install Commercial Fixtures and Finishing's, including cabinets, shelving, baseboards, crown molding, doors, and trim.
• Read and Interpret Blueprints and project plans to determine layout, measurements, and materials needed for each phase of construction.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Other Trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers, HVAC) to ensure project milestones are met.
• Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety standards, and company specifications.
• Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and Solve Problems on-site to ensure project progress and quality are maintained.
• Assist in the management of tools, materials, and supplies, ensuring that equipment is in working condition and available when needed.

Qualifications:

• minimum 3-6 months of experience
• Has own basic hand tools and power tools
• Basic understanding of carpentry techniques and materials.
• Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of team and under supervision.

Salary: $18-23 /hr based on experience
