We are seeking a skilled and motivated Spray Foam Insulation Technician to join our team. This position involves applying spray foam insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to improve energy efficiency, soundproofing, and comfort. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to delivering high-quality results while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Insulation Application: Apply spray foam insulation to walls, ceilings, attics, and crawl spaces using specialized equipment, ensuring even and thorough coverage.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare job sites by cleaning surfaces, covering fixtures, and sealing gaps or cracks to ensure optimal insulation performance.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain spray foam equipment, including compressors, hoses, and spray guns, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Material Handling: Mix and load spray foam materials accurately and safely, maintaining proper chemical ratios for effective application.
- Site Cleanup: Ensure job sites are left clean and free of debris, removing overspray and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to ventilation and chemical handling guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications, building codes, and customer expectations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients, explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience with spray foam insulation or in a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining spray foam equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of insulation materials, building codes, and energy efficiency principles.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, such as attics and crawl spaces.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and heights when necessary.
- Certifications: OSHA safety certification or spray foam applicatin certification is a plus.
