Job Description
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction projects.
- Oversee the construction site and manage general contractors to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Review and approve Safe Work Permits and conduct daily safety briefings.
- Coordinate site activities with the Prime Contractor's Site Superintendent.
- Ensure project compliance with contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Conduct quality inspections, retain and maintain a file of test and inspection reports.
- Identify, mitigate, and track construction issues as they arise.
- Adhere to legal regulations, building codes, and safety requirements.
- Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process.
- Maintain and update Statements of Work (SOW) and construction documents.
- Develop strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contract obligations.
- Acquire equipment and materials, monitoring stock levels to address inadequacies promptly.
- Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
- Respond effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from appropriate authorities / agencies.
- Conduct Pre-Start inspections and maintain Pre-Start Checklists.
- Regularly report project status to management.
