Overview
As the Manager of Technical Product Management, you will lead a team of technical product managers and platform analysts, define product vision and strategy, own one or more dedicated area and ensure successful execution across the product lifecycle. You will play a key role in shaping the development of complex, cutting-edge products, driving alignment between business goals, technical requirements, and customer needs. Your experience and leadership will be critical in creating a high-performing technical product management function within the company.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of technical product managers, platform analysts to ensure successful product development and execution.
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and own the product vision and roadmap, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to align with business objectives and market demands.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaboration between engineering, architecture, design, data management, product and other key stakeholders to drive product initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to product managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring products are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with industry standards.
- Customer-Centric Decision Making: Advocate for the customer by gathering feedback and analyzing user data.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through to launch, iteration, and scaling.
- Metrics & KPIs: Define success metrics, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Problem-Solving: Act as the go-to resource for resolving complex product challenges, offering strategic insights and pragmatic solutions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the product management process, ensuring efficiency and high-quality deliverables across all teams.
- Executive communication: Build a communication strategy and execute it to keep all executive leaders updated.
- Documentation: Own monthly business reviews, write and review PRDs/BRDs.
- Innovative thinking: Think out of the box to solve customer problems and put a strategy for short term as well as long term.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in technical product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience in leading and growing high-performing product teams.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, including Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Solid technical background with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong track record of successfully launching and scaling products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, competition, and customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies, SaaS products, or enterprise-level solutions.
- Familiarity with data-driven product management practices, including A/B testing and user analytics.
- Experience in leading cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
