Overview
We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in designing, developing, and deploying data analytics solutions that drive business decisions. This role requires proficiency with multiple business intelligence tools, including both Tableau and Power BI, a strong understanding of data integration processes, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their analytic needs, challenges, and objectives. Gather requirements and ensure BI solutions align with business goals.
- Solution Design and Development: Design and develop Power BI and Tableau dashboards and reports that utilize data warehouse technologies. Ensure solutions are scalable and optimized for performance.
- Data Integration and Management: Develop and implement data models by integrating data from various sources, including data warehouses. Utilize ETL processes and data integration tools to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, report performance, and user access.
- Best Practices and Standards: Follow best practices for BI development, data modeling, and data governance. Create and maintain documentation and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence. Evaluate and recommend new tools and approaches to enhance analytic capabilities and drive business value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau, including custom visualizations and data transformations.
- Knowledge of Azure services related to analytics and data storage, such as Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database, is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, data manipulation, and managing databases.
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Knime, or similar.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent analytical abilities to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Databricks for big data analytics and understanding of Databricks SQL and Delta Lake.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and the ability to integrate machine learning models into BI reports for predictive analytics.
