Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to attorneys to enhance office efficiency.
Communicate with clients, law offices, insurance adjusters, medical offices, and expert witnesses.
Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters from initiation to resolution.
Open and close case files, including obtaining medical records, police reports, and other pertinent documents.
Maintain consistent client communication and provide case updates.
Manage a caseload of up to 80 cases.
Respond to incoming calls and voicemails daily.
Assist in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Draft and file complaints, motions, briefs, and arbitration statements.
Prepare special packages, discovery demands, and answers to interrogatories.
Review discovery documents and summarize deposition testimony.
Assist attorneys with deposition calendaring and maintain court deadlines.
Draft emails and other legal correspondence.
Monitor deadlines and maintain the law office calendar.
Process settlement disbursement and request checks from the accounting department.
Conduct intake meetings and greet walk-in clients as needed.
Handle inquiries from potential new clients and coordinate with the New Client Team.
Conduct legal research as required.
Maintain accurate case status notes within the case management system.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma required; Paralegal Certificate or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in personal injury law.
Strong familiarity with New Jersey e-Courts, court rules, and legal procedures.
Working knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
Fluency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written) is required.
Excellent administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
