Field Technician – Low Voltage & Paging Systems

We are seeking a Field Technician to join our team, offering hands-on training and career advancement in low-voltage technology. This role provides the opportunity to learn and certify in Rauland Ametek Systems installations and programming right from the manufacturer (https://www.rauland.com), with long-term growth potential in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Remove and replace outdated Legacy 66 Telco blocks with IP or hybrid communication systems.
- Install, configure, and program Rauland, Bogen, or Telecor analog and digital paging systems.
- Perform low-voltage wiring, terminations, and circuit testing using meters to check connectivity.
- Work with Windows Server 2020, SQL databases, and VDM servers to ensure proper system functionality.
- Troubleshoot and maintain paging, intercom, and other low-voltage communication systems.
- Collaborate with project teams and follow detailed technical instructions.
- Occasionally travel within the Greater Pittsburgh area, with rare assignments in Warren County.
Qualifications:
- Experience in low-voltage installation, cabling, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of networking, MAC and IP addressing, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with multimeter use, circuit checking, and electrical resistance (Ohms law).
- Ability to work with SQL-based VDM servers and networked controllers in buildings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Prior experience with Legacy 66 Telco blocks and/or IP or hybrid communication systems.
- Prior experience with Rauland, Bogen, or Telecor systems is a plus; training and certification provided.
- Relevant certifications (AVIXA, CEDIA, NICET, or BICSI) are a plus but not required.
