Job Title - Chemist

Duration- 1 year of contract role

Pay rate - $28/hr on w2(without Benefits)

Location- Cleveland OH 44111

Shift times – 7AM – 3:30PM or 7:30AM – 4PM

Job Description -

As a Chemist, you will formulate to optimize products to meet productivity goals of the Automotive Coatings OEM market segment that reflect quality and meet customer requirements. You will support product development via coordinating, conducting and evaluating experiments in relation to the physical or chemical aspects of coatings. You will also identify technical problems and difficulties with materials, both internally and at customer sites, and recommend modifications based on knowledge, literature and previous experience!

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assists in the formulation process to communicate technical information using standard formats and archiving methods.

• Uses experimental design, research, analysis and interpretation of data to resolve feasibility/efficacy of proposed solutions.

• Performs laboratory tests to produce reliable and prioritizes data using spreadsheets or other software to compile and summarize into graphical summaries and reports.

• Performs housekeeping, 5S and follows safety procedures, in order to maintain a stocked, organized, safe and efficient lab and work environment.

Candidate Qualifications –

Requires:

• BS in Chemistry, BioChem, or Chemical Engineering is required.

• 1 years' relatable experience preferred.

Functional Proficiencies:

• Uses critical thinking to identify, implement, develop and/or improve test methodologies and/or processes.

• Experience with experimental design (DOE), formulation, root cause analysis, and problem solving.

• Ability to operate technical equipment safely, such as with mixers, pH meters, viscometers, calipers, etc.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills (both one-on-one and group settings); Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other required software programs.
