Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Waltham, MA-02451

Duration: 12 months

Shift: M-F, 24 hours/week, Preferred days T-W-TH flex on workdays

Shift Time: 8 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM -5 PM

Summary: We are seeking an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) to provide clinical support for R&D and manufacturing operations at their Waltham, MA sites. The ideal candidate will deliver occupational health programs, ensure regulatory compliance, manage workplace injuries and illnesses, and support medical surveillance programs. The candidate must be able to work independently while collaborating with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams, HR, and site managers.

Day-to-Day Tasks

• Workplace Injury & Illness Management – Evaluate, treat (within scope), and manage work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Medical Surveillance & Compliance – Conduct medical surveillance programs in line with OSHA & company guidelines (e.g., respiratory protection, hearing conservation, reproductive risk assessment).
• Case Management & Return-to-Work Support – Work with HR and site managers to provide accommodations, return-to-work plans, and disability assessments.
• Emergency Preparedness – Oversee the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), including training, immunizations, and maintaining emergency equipment (AEDs).
• Health Center Operations – Maintain medical records, supplies, and equipment at on-site health centers.
• Collaboration & Risk Assessment – Work closely with HSE teams on industrial hygiene assessments, PPE recommendations, and injury prevention.
• Travel Consultations & Worksite Visits – Provide travel health consultations for employees and periodically visit job sites for risk evaluations and recommendations.
• Accident Investigation – Assist in investigations related to workplace injuries to ensure compliance and prevention measures.
• Remote Support – Manage occupational health concerns remotely as needed.
