Core Responsibilities
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of capital engineering projects related to wildfire mitigation, ADMS deployments, and SCADA system upgrades.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Controls Engineering, Field Operations, Substation, and Distribution Engineering teams.
- Assist in managing project scopes, budgets, timelines, risk profiles, and resource plans across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with safety, regulatory, and reliability standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation, reporting metrics, and dashboards to track project progress and ensure alignment with program goals.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and field visits to facilitate communication between technical teams and leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for project execution frameworks, especially in grid modernization and wildfire defense initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field.
- 5–7 years of experience in utility project management, engineering coordination, or technical project support.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Basic understanding of electric utility systems, SCADA, distribution engineering, or grid automation technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Ability to travel locally for field visits and on-site coordination as needed.
- Internship or co-op experience in electric utility or infrastructure sectors.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle concepts: initiation, planning, execution, and close-out.
- Exposure to Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), FLISR, or wildfire mitigation strategies.
- EIT certification or working toward PMP certification is a plus.
