Database Architect DBA team is part of the Database Services division in HedgeServ, providing 24 / 7 support of all Application DB systems on premises and in cloud. We are growing team of 10 experienced DBAs located in 3 offices around the globe. We collaborate with Systems Administration, Monitoring and Development teams to diagnose and troubleshoot production issues, to develop tools that automate trivial tasks and to collect appropriate trending data for performance analysis and to plan and communicate rollouts of new software versions. Job Description We are seeking a Data Architect with deep understanding of data modeling best practices in Data Warehousing vs OLTP and experience with AWS cloud environments, Snowflake, MongoDB. Knowledge and experience with infrastructure as code and orchestration tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Key Responsibilities " Supporting all facets of data services in the hybrid environment encompassing AWS pipelines of SQL Server HA Always On clusters using Terraform and Ansible while collaborating with support, IT engineering, and development teams. " Support and develop new and existing Data Warehouse and OLTP design with dev teams. Working knowledge of ERWIN data model tool. " Performance and tuning of SQL queries. " Supporting Snowflake and MongoDB cloud environments. " Build tools to automate and implement system and schema changes or transform data within development, QA, UAT, Staging and production environments Job Requirements for the role Education : " Minimum Batchelor Degree in Computer science " SQL Server or Cloud certification is beneficial Experience : " 10 years of experience " Expertise with data modeling best practices in Data Warehousing vs OLTP is a must " Expertise with ERWIN data modeling tool on new and existing logical and physical data models. " Expertise with ETL data transformation. " Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always-ON and standalone installations and administrations versions 2012 - 2019. " Expertise troubleshooting performance and tuning of the SQL environment and the SQL queries. " Proactive monitoring of SQL Servers. Blocking, deadlocks, multithreading, long running queries. " Expertise with Snowflake Data Warehouse setup and administration. " Experience with NoSQL DBMS - MongoDB " Working experience with Terraform, Ansible, Packer in Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) " Proficient in scripting languages, such as SQL and PowerShell. " Understanding connections from Kubernetes EKS clusters is big plus. " Personality - must be pro-active, enthusiastic and dedicated.
