JOIN Evernorth Care Group (ENCG)! The Medical Economics Advisor supports ENCG s Operations in driving their objective to consistently deliver better patient experience and outcomes. This is accomplished by creating and providing key performance metrics and goals, reporting results, and partnering with stakeholders, business partners, data analytic, and data engineering teams to gather and provide requirements to create, maintain and enhance dispensing accuracy data tools.
ENCG provides integrated primary care for family medicine, internal medicine, and geriatric medicine at 18 locations, bolstered by our onsite integrated behavioral health (10 locations and all virtual locations), dermatology (six locations and growing), and retail pharmacy services (nine locations) across the Valley throughout metropolitan Phoenix. For more than 50 years, we ve been delivering high-quality, affordable, and accessible care for our patients and the community.
Responsibilities :
Provide subject matter expertise by translating operational and financial data into actionable insights
Perform critical financial analyses to inform decision makers about the economic viability of clinical programs, value-based contracts, etc.
Create and modify reports; troubleshoot issues; design, build, test, and implement reports, reporting interfaces, and solutions; and translate business needs into technical specifications for stakeholders
Leverage multiple systems to effectively conduct analyses and reporting for financial and productivity data
Provide financial analysis support to department managers and provide senior management with information on all areas of revenue and costs
Measure actual performance against expectation and work in multi-disciplinary groups to recognize trends and to forecast future budgets
Work closely with project management teams to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables in accordance with the agile operating model
Partner with other analytics and intelligence teams to develop meaningful insights that drive ENCG growth
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business / Health Care Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field Required
5-8 years of professional work experience in Healthcare, Financial Analysis, Actuarial Science, or related area
Ability to deal with ambiguity, independently set direction, and create structure where it does not currently exist
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical business partners
Technical knowledge of relational database concepts, querying, data warehouses and decision support tools, including but not limited to : Alteryx, SQL, Excel, and Tableau
Strong ability to connect technical models with high level trends, concepts, and anecdotes
Project management experience is a plus
Preferred experience with : Epic EMR and decision support / cost accounting software; claims and patient data; and contract modeling and fee schedules
This position can be performed anywhere in the USA remotely
