JOB DESCRIPTION
IR @ Advocate Trinity: 2 Labs, 3 pre and 3 post recovery bays; Able to do simple procedures in the bay areas. Patient Types include: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, embolization (UFE), IVC filter placement, SVC repair, line placement (PICC, various central lines), assist with CT biopsies, fistulas, needle aspirations, shock wave lithotripsy, some vascular cases. Traveler can expect to receive up to 2 days of orientation to learn flow of unit and hospital. Will go to a Meet and Greet- Clinical Practice Partner to gain access to systems/complete modules; unit Manager will give access to MERGE and PACS. Scrubs are provided. Free parking on site.
Candidate MUST HAVE:
- 2 years IR Tech experience
- active BLS (AHA)
- active IL license (IEMA), ARRT (IR), and CCI
Technical Skills required: able to function well in a team, strong communication skills especially with physicians, knowledgeable in aseptic technique, aware of radiation safety, able to anticipate physician s needs
HIGHLY PREFER candidate with CBT certification, but not required.
