Job title: Lead Application Support Engineer (mainframe and cloud distributed applications)
Locations – New Jersey, NJ (hybrid mandatory)
Job Schedule -Full time
Experience required:
- ITIL Change, Incident & Problem Management expertise.
- Major Incident Management & root cause analysis.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging in cloud/on-prem regulated environments.
- Monitoring & Alerting across distributed, cloud, and mainframe systems.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge – access control, password rotation, malware detection.
- Disaster Recovery & Audit Compliance – execution, documentation, and evidence gathering.
- Application Design Review & Optimization.
- Dashboard Development for observability.
- Software Lifecycle Understanding (code, test, deploy).
- Automation & Process Improvement
Technical Qualifications (Mainframe): (Must have)
- Mainframe solve and support skills (COBOL, JCL, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures, CICS, SPUFI, File aid)
- Mainframe scheduling (Job abends, Predecessor/Successor)
Technical Qualifications (Distributed/Cloud): (Must have)
- Hands on experience in Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL/PLSQL
- Familiarity working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)
- Monitoring and Data Tools experience (Splunk, DynaTrace, Thousand Eyes, Grafana, Selenium,HiPam IBM Zolda)
- Cloud Technologies (AWS services (S3,EC2,Lambda,SQS,IAM roles), Azure, OpenShift, RDS Aurora, Postgress)
- Scheduling Tool experience (CA AutoSys, Control-M)
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
