HireUp Talent is seeking a Director to lead project management operations and strategic planning to drive successful project execution. In this role, you will define project scopes, establish goals, develop budgets, and create timelines to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
This position is remote with travel requirements and requires the candidate to reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, IL, FL, MD, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $91,000 annually. This is a salaried position and is not eligible for overtime under federal, state, and local labor laws.
This position requires a strong leader who can navigate compliance requirements, mitigate risks, and oversee financials while effectively coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders. Your ability to foster collaboration, maintain clear communication, and optimize operational efficiency will be key in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all projects adhere to Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support regulatory and organizational requirements.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and resource optimization.
- Monitor project progress to ensure successful on-time, within-scope, and within-budget execution.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Collaborate with clients to ensure project deliverables align with scope, budget, and expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication and issue resolution.
- Represent projects in technical discussions, industry forums, and presentations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead the selection, training, and performance management of program staff.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities to improve operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain reporting systems and key performance metrics for executive leadership.
- Monitor project progress and financials, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve goals.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance project management processes.
Training & Development
- Oversee the design, coordination, and facilitation of internal and external training programs.
- Identify and address training needs to enhance team and organizational capabilities.
- Implement best practices for knowledge-sharing and skill development.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 7 years of experience in program management, with 5 years in leadership roles within the Public Housing industry.
- Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high performance.
- Experience in data-driven analysis, Agile project management, and executive-level decision-making.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and client management skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and strategic information effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Travel Requirements
- This role requires significant travel (up to 75% of the year) to lead high-stakes client initiatives, conduct strategic planning sessions, and deliver advanced training programs.
- Travel may involve multi-week stays at client sites for large-scale engagements.
- Attendance at industry conferences and policy briefings may also be required to stay informed on evolving trends and regulatory changes.
