This position is remote with travel requirements and requires the candidate to reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, IL, FL, MD, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.
Salary Range: $43,500 – $69,700
Travel Required: Up to 30%
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Research & Environmental Scanning
- Monitor HUD and other federal regulations relevant to housing and community development.
- Track emerging legislation, agency guidance, and industry trends.
2. Regulatory Analysis with Real-World Impact
- Translate complex regulatory updates into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify compliance risks and opportunities, guiding clients in strategic decision-making.
3. Training & Curriculum Development
- Design engaging, up-to-date training materials to promote compliance and program excellence.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop relevant content aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain and enhance learning tools to reflect ongoing policy changes.
4. Cross-Functional Communication
- Provide timely updates on regulatory shifts to internal teams and clients.
- Develop systems to ensure accurate policy dissemination and knowledge sharing across the organization.
5. Documentation & Strategic Reporting
- Maintain thorough records of regulatory updates, interpretations, and implementation plans.
- Prepare briefings and strategic reports to support operational and programmatic initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Experience working with HUD programs or in related public-sector environments is required.
- Background in policy analysis, compliance, curriculum development, or regulatory strategy.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in interpreting federal regulations and converting them into practical strategies.
- Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
