HireUp Talent is looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist who will play a key role in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with both legal requirements and business objectives. This position works closely with executive leadership and department heads to oversee core HR functions, including benefits administration, policy compliance, performance management, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
In addition to managing day-to-day HR operations, this role ensures that hiring, training, payroll, and compliance processes run smoothly.
The Senior HR Generalist is also responsible for enhancing workplace culture, supporting talent development, and driving process improvements that promote efficiency and engagement.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
- Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage open enrollment, educating employees on benefits options.
- Monitor and reconcile benefits-related transactions and ensure seamless administration.
Policy & Compliance Management
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies in alignment with employment laws.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws, including record-keeping, hiring, terminations, and employee relations.
- Serve as a resource to employees and leadership regarding workplace policies and legal obligations.
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Support managers in setting clear, measurable performance goals and providing timely feedback.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to leaders on effective performance management practices.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a workplace culture that promotes collaboration, engagement, and employee well-being.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing concerns and resolving workplace disputes.
- Implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and professional growth.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and post job descriptions, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews.
- Manage background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (required); SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
Experience
- 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a generalist or similar role.
- Proven success in managing multiple HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience leading, coaching, and supporting teams across various functions.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, including PayCom and recruiting platforms like Indeed.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and drive decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required for corporate events, meetings, or HR-related initiatives.
