THE ROLE
Our client is searching for a creative and high collaborative Marketing Director to be a key member of their executive leadership team. The Marketing Director will report to the CEO and manage the company’s three-person marketing team and third-party resources. They will partner closely with sales to create pipeline, close new business, and drive the company's growth, as well as partner with the product and customer experience teams to support product adoption and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performance and firsthand experience in growth-stage SaaS startups.
This is a fully remote role but preference will be shown to candidates in the Raleigh area.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Partner with the sales team to create pipeline and book revenue.

Create value-based messaging and materials like pitch decks, sales collateral, landing pages, and product materials.

Develop campaigns based on market insights and feedback from sales.

Support sales in developing RFP responses based on your knowledge of the product and the market.

Research competitors and maintain battle cards based on competitive intelligence.

Serve as an engaged and active cross-functional partner with Sales, Product and Customer Experience.

Create a bidirectional feedback loop with sales to determine what resonates with our target market.

Partner with product to create product launch messaging and collateral.

Support customer experience in their efforts to communicate product enhancements and drive adoption and expansion opportunities.

Help collect and use data to make strategy decisions and perpetuate a data-driven culture.

Partner with revenue operations to track the effectiveness of campaigns.

Follow the revenue trail to determine what types of leads are more likely to convert into customers.

Develop winning content, messaging, and positioning.

Own and evolve our brand positioning and thought leadership content.

Design and implement multi-channel ABM marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.

Write, edit and source content using your knowledge of government technology, SaaS, and SEO best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL LIKELY NEED
Required
-
Experience leading a marketing team.
-
6-10 years of SaaS marketing experience in organizations at $5m-$20m ARR.

Experience leveraging SEO, organic search, and digital demand generation practices to achieve lead generation goals.

Experience with marketing automation software, ideally Hubspot.

Proven success in core functions, including:
