THE ROLE

As an AI Integrations Engineer, you will join a distributed team to prototype and implement new features driven by third-party AI tools and models. You will evaluate integrations for quality and consistency, explore and experiment with emerging multi-modal AI capabilities, and act as a subject matter expert in the field. Proficiency with JavaScript and engineering production-ready integrations is key.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prototype and implement new features for our client’s platform using third-party AI tools and models, ensuring quality and consistency in integrations

• Experiment with emerging multi-modal AI technologies to enhance functionality and improve user interactions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into the application

• Develop scalable, maintainable code that aligns with product goals, user needs, and performance standards

• Drive innovative user experiences by leveraging AI to improve engagement and interaction

• Monitor and maintain the scalability, performance, and reliability of AI integrations within the platform

• Translate complex AI concepts into practical, effective backend and full-stack implementations

• Stay informed on the latest AI advancements and apply them to continuously improve the product

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 4 years of full-stack development experience with a proven ability to build and maintain complex applications

• Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js, with hands-on experience in developing scalable and production-ready code

• Strong experience developing third-party service integrations, including working with APIs and external tools

• Familiarity with AI technologies, particularly emerging multi-modal AI capabilities like language models, computer vision, and more

• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Firestore or Elasticsearch, and the ability to design backend services

• Proven ability to integrate AI services effectively into products, translating complex AI functionalities into user-facing solutions

• Solid understanding of AI models and APIs, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, and other major AI platforms

• Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques using vector databases and embeddings

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex concepts clearly

• A focus on clean, maintainable code that aligns with user and product needs, ensuring both performance and reliability
