Medical Administrative Professionals
Keller Professional Services, Inc., a talent acquisition firm focusing on matching skilled professionals with leading healthcare providers, is currently recruiting Medical Administrative Professionals for a reputable medical institution in Maryland.
Individuals who qualify for these positions are employed by and are accountable to the Staffing Director of Keller Professional Services, Inc. (KPS) and reports to an assigned onsite Manager of the Medical Institution for each long-term assignment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide strong medical/administrative expertise to the Maryland-based Medical Institution while serving as an exemplary employee of Keller Professional Services.
• Assist with running a high-volume medical office efficiently including the ability to support 6-8 Providers at this office.
• This Admin Asst must be able to keep their composure during high volume times, greet patients with a smile, assist with getting appointments and follow up scheduled and follow up with patients via phone if they have questions,
• Assist with ordering office supplies, checking out patients, assisting with medical requests, helping to get patients to the right phone line if procedures need to get scheduled, etc.
• Answer phones, take messages, track, and keep a log on referral information.
• Types reports, minutes, and prepares meeting agendas, schedules meetings and books rooms.
• Distribute mail, maintain files, and track and maintain files of purchase orders.
• Provides support for department staff by faxing and copying information.
• Reviews physician billing sheet for accuracy and completion

• Sensitivity/Tact in dealing with customers.
• Typing proficiency
• Computer system/software proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Ability to manage time and multiple demands.
• Good understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to record and transcribe minutes; ability to prepare reports in accordance with detailed completeness.
Job Knowledge:
• Displays understanding of how job relates to others; Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; Keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; Uses resources effectively.
• Proficiency in medical software for use in billing and insurance verification and HIPPA requirements.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Two years’ successful experience providing secretarial services in a health care and/or office setting with one year of billing experience in a health care organization required and must be visible on resume.
• Front desk experience - checking in/out, scheduling appointments, assisting with chart updates, insurance verifications, authorizations, etc.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Resume must be neat, easy to read, etc.
Physical exam and background check are required
Proof of Flu and COVID vaccine may be required.
Photo or proof of HS Diploma or Certifications may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will work in a medical office or front desk environment as a temporary employee with Keller Professional Services, Inc. with an opportunity for permanent employment with a medical institution.
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
• Typical Work Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM or
• Evening and Weekend Hours
Compensation Package Hourly rate range: ($20.00-$27.00) per hour.
