POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is one of the most important on our team because in this role you will be the first person many of our patients have contact with. We love our patients and are inspired everyday by the services we provide them, so we want each patient interaction to be conducted at the highest professional level possible. The duties of this position begin and end with making a difference with each and every patient. Therefore, the essential duties this team member are service oriented and include:

FRONT OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules patient appointments using the office template and helps to direct the patient flow in light of these appointments
  • Performs day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to copying, faxing, and answering phones
  • Checking in and Checking out patients-must verify any changes in address, insurance or phone numbers
  • Assists in answering phones on a daily basis
  • Welcomes/greets patients, clients, visitors to the office in a helpful and friendly manner determines the purpose of the visit and directs them to the appropriate department
  • Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements
  • Maintains patient waiting areas, bathrooms and front-desk areas in a neat and organized manner
  • Informs, verifies and collects any existing patient balances
  • Informs, verifies and collects payments for the days services
  • Attends all scheduled office meetings
  • Arrives at the office 20-30 minutes prior to office hours to prepare for the days patients
  • Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers any complaints to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Performs other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

College Education or High school Graduate with Medical office or Service industry experience. Bilingual preferred. Computer skills. Advanced phone skills. Great interpersonal skills. Knowledge of basic math and modern office procedures.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Cultural sensitivity/ability to work with diverse groups. Excellent customer service skills. Strong team orientation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
