Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort during the critical post-operative period. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during recovery from anesthesia.
- Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiological status and respond appropriately to changes.
- Provide care for patients with various medical needs, including trauma medicine and urgent care situations.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records, utilizing appropriate medical terminology.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in PACU or critical care settings (Phase 2 Recovery)
- AHA BLS and ACLS Certification
- Epic experience is a plus
JOB DETAILS:

Job Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate:
- Local: $55/hr
- Travel: $2,151.20/week
Additional Information
- 36 hrs/week (Start time 10-11am)
- On call: 3 - 4 overnight (M - F 11p-7a)
- Weekend: Call - Two -12 hours (Day or Night)
- Holiday: One 12-hour holiday call.
- No Float requirements
