Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes and outpatient facilities. The Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical protocols and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform catheterization and assist with other medical procedures.
- Manage acute pain effectively, ensuring patient comfort.
- Provide care for toddlers and support family planning initiatives as needed.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques when necessary to aid in diagnosis.
- Document patient information accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
Requirements
- Critical Care or Stepdown experience
- Previous Travel Experience
- AHA BLS and ACLS Certification
- Dysrhythmia or Telemetry Management
JOB DETAILS:
Patient population: Large Teaching Hospital- Medical Cardiac patients;
Multiple levels of care- Adult inpatient acute, tele, and intermediate care unit with continuous vital sign and some advanced monitoring, Vent experience, tracheostomies, Aline, some Titrating gtts (Nitroglycerin, Insulin and Heparin) and experience/understanding of provider managed pressors and inotropes.
1:3 ratio for IMC around the clock, 1:4 ratio for Tele during AM, 1:5 ratio for Tele during PM.
