HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 33 facilities in eight countries.

Requirements
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate effectively.
Mathematical Skills
In addition to the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, the individual must possess advanced mathematical skills including, the ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, statistical process control calculations, and to create and interpret various graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, and/or other related software systems. In addition, the individual must be familiar with Cut/Etch evaluation software and other Laboratory software programs used in the function of the Lab Technician role. The Lab Tech should be able to learn additional software as it is introduced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, measures, tests, and inspects materials, products, machinery, and processes according to quality and safety standards, while meeting customer requirements.
- Uses various gauges and precision equipment to aid in measuring and inspecting products
- Supports all activities associated with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and change control
- Participates in Calibration of inspection equipment, instruments, and gauges to ensure they function properly
- Participates in internal, supplier, and customer audit activities corresponding to production schedules
- Maintains equipment and documentation ensuring regulatory and quality standards are met
- Collects, tracks, records, and maintains quality control data and reporting on this data
- Interacts with all levels of the organization as well as, customers and/or vendors when necessary for quality assurance
- Provides detailed reports to assist in communicating results against specifications to customers, vendors, and internal areas of the organization
- Reports any NG (No Good) condition and contains suspect material
- Ability to make accurate assessments of problems, communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a strong interest in a collaborative working process
- Performs inspections of the quality and strength of welds by using weld destructive test and cut and etch test to ensure conformance with quality standards
- Operate a FARO and a CMM
- Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area
- Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company
