What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Development Construction Superintendent position at HIS Constructors?
HIS Constructors, Inc is seeking to add a qualified and experienced Site Development and Environmental Construction Superintendents to our team. The position serves as the site manager and manages small to midsize mass excavation, trenching and shoring, utilities, waste water treatment and/or bridge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
- Independently manage projects from start to completion.
- Supervise, mentor, manage employees
- Implement and utilize labor and production schedules.
- Maintain scope of work within the estimate and budget.
- Work as the site safety officer when needed.
- Document daily and weekly project activities
- Maintain good relations with clients and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Log labor, equipment hours, completed quantities and other activities onsite
- Ensure that all equipment onsite is properly cared for and maintained.
- Travel when required.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of earth moving equipment
- Valid Driver's License
- able to use Microsoft word, excel, outlook
- Excellent Communication and time management skills
- Goal and detail driven
- Professional
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to travel extensively
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineer OR equivalent industry experience.
- 3 or more years experience in heavy civil construction
